Patches!

Here is a selection of the fantastic, unique and creative patches we’ve had in for The Patch Project  – thanks to all those who’ve contributed.  We hope they inspire you to try something new – we promised you it was something everyone could do!

If you’ve made a patch but not submitted it yet – don’t worry – you can send it in to us this week or bring it in in person to our offices – Leisure & Culture, City of York Council, 18 Back Swinegate, York, YO1 8ZD.

If you’ve made a patch and would like it to feature in our gallery, drop us an email with a photo attached – adult.education@york.gov.uk.

  1. I love the CND – make crafts not war…….
    pure genius.

  2. Agree – I genuinely feel that more bunting, knitting groups and the sharing of homemade afternoon tea could solve some of the problems of the world! Probably not all of them, but definitely some of them.

  3. Such an inspiring way to involve members of the community. I can’t wait to see the finished quilt.

  4. Ah so pretty…love the cup cake – but just adore the flag!

  5. They’re so lovely – I can’t wait to see them all together in the large quilt. Mine will be on it’s way with others from Our Celebration. Our craft group has been making them. It’s my first try at quilting so it’s unconventional!

  6. Yay – Some of the Our Celebration patches are up! Big hugs to all at Inspiration York. It’s a fantastic project that I have felt privileged to contribute to. It’s given me a sewing bug 🙂 It was great to see all the amazing creations in the exhibition at the weekend too. You guys rock! 😉
